Capacitors keeping your amplifier more capact

Though amplifiers already have internal capacitors, their size and capacity is limited to keep the amplifier more compact. External capacitors help to deliver power when the audio system places severe demands on the electrical system of the automobile. They are designed to store power to be made available to the amplifier under extreme current draw. Aluminum capacitors have very fast charge/discharge times. Carbon cell capacitors have a higher capacity in a smaller design. The ACAP7JN combines both of these technologies to give you higher capacity in a smaller form without losing charging/discharging times. Audiobahn also offers a traditional aluminum 1-farad capacitor with a choice of standard connection terminals or distribution blocks.

IMMORTAL SERIES
Designed specifically for the competition environment, Audiobahn presents the IMMORTAL Series subwoofers. Their quad 2 ohm voice coils can handle up to 2250 watts of continuous power. They feature design elements like 200oz. triple-stacked Strontium magnets, proprietary tall excursion foam surrounds, and 25mm top plates, all ensuring maximum cone excursion and subwoofer efficiency. The Audiobahn IMMORTAL series subwoofers packages these advanced qualities into an ultradurable, cosmetically-appealing, chromed 3-dimensional die cast aluminum basket.

CONE: The ultra-light 2-layer laminated carbon fiber Kevlar cone features an aluminum dustcap, making the cone rigid as well as lightweight. This design allows the cone to travel more easily with the same amount of power. More pressure and more sound can be created because less power is wasted controlling a heavy cone. Since this is an SPL competition subwoofer, high efficiency is crucial.

BACK-PLATE: This woofer features a bumped back-plate, which allows the cone to travel further, increasing excursion. Increased excursion means increased air displacement leading to increased sound pressure levels.

SOUND Q SERIES

DUAL 6-OHM CONFIGURATION: Accommodating the rising trend of triple-subwoofer applications, Audiobahn’s Sound Q subwoofers come in dual 6-ohm configurations. This allows three Sound Q subwoofers to be wired in a 1- or 4-ohm operation. You now have the option to use a wider range of amplifiers to fit the needs of your specific application.

SURROUND: To lengthen the life of the woofer and to ensure continued enjoyment, this series’ surround is made from EPDM rubber, a denser yet flexible material that is designed to hold its shape over time. It is made to withstand weather conditions such as high and low temperatures.

MULTI-CONNECT LUG LOCK TERMINALS: Audiobahn’s patented Multi-Connect Lug Lock Terminals offer increased versatility in wiring multiple subwoofers to an amplifier or to another voice coil. Multi-connect terminals allow you to use single wire connections in each terminal rather than combining multiple wires into one terminal. This feature allows you to use a full 8-gauge wire in each terminal.

HIGH EXCURSION
VERSATILITY: Audiobahn’s High Excursion subwoofer is regarded as the most widely applicable performance subwoofer. Whether it’s installed in a sealed, ported or band pass enclosure or even in novice SPL applications, this subwoofer will adapt to your ever-changing car audio needs and various musical tastes.

SURROUND: The taller, narrower surround increases cone surface area which means more air displacement, which gives way to greater efficiency. Also, since the, surround is taller, it creates a longer excursion with the same linear control.

CONE: This series of subwoofers features a high-gloss cone made from high-strength carbon composite with laminated pulp reinforcement. The cone is much sturdier than paper cones, allowing for more aggressive operation.

NATURAL SOUND
STAMPED STEEL BASKET, MULTICONNECT LUG LOCK TERMINALS: These Audiobahn subwoofers feature Stamped Steel Baskets. The thickness and curvature of the 3-dimensional flames have been computer-modeled to better prevent resonance and vibration during operation. In addition, the multi-connect terminals allow for single wire connections in each terminal rather than combining multiple wires into one terminal.

CONE & SURROUND: This woofer features a KM3 coated, nonpressed paper cone, which is lightweight and efficient for a true-to-life sound, hence the name “Natural Sound.” The J-type narrow foam surround gives the woofer more cone surface area, more efficiency and the ability to reproduce a wider range of audio frequencies.
