A5000SPL
The A5000SPL
Rack Mount High Current Power Plant has grown to
become the premier choice for SPL competitors worldwide.
Capable of producing 5000 watts RMS, this amplifier
is built specifically for bass. Due to its massive
size and immense power production, the A5000SPL
features six cooling fans to keep things running
smoothly. Additionally, this power plant utilizes
two positive and two negative input terminals, giving
you the ability to supply the amplifier with enough
current from your vehicle’s charging system.
Along with the included remote bass boost control
and clipping indicator, the A5000SPL features a
digital volt meter, which measures the output A/C
voltage that goes directly to your system’s
subwoofers. Independent left and right meters display
the amplifier’s output and
on-board LED-illuminated clipping indicators
let you know if the amplifier is producing
square waves or DC current.
The brushed aluminum finish and cobalt blue LED
illumination uphold the edgy Audiobahn look that
has electrified sound competitions for years. |

CLASS
D SERIES
POWER EFFICIENCY
Audiobahn’s series of mono-block Class D amplifiers
are specifically designed to provide raw power to drive
subwoofers. These amplifiers utilize digital switching,
which is a highly-efficient method for increasing power
output while drawing less power from your vehicle’s
electrical system. The application of this technology
also gives Audiobahn’s Class D amplifiers the
stability to operate at impedances as low as 1 ohm and
still remain cool enough to utilize smaller heat sinks
and outer chassis.
DUAL COOLING FANS
Regardless of how stable an amplifier is, heat deteriorates
its functionality; keeping the amplifier cool is essential
in preserving its longevity and power output. All Audiobahn
Class D amplifiers feature dual cooling fans, which
increase airflow to critical components on the circuit
board’s surface area and help maintain the amplifier’s
optimum operating temperature. Audiobahn has also designed
the Class D amplifiers with chassis exhaust venting
and side-rail fins to help eliminate harmful heat from
sensitive inner components.
CLIPPING INDICATOR
When an amplifier is operating outside of its output
threshold it can produce square waves or DC current,
which can be harmful to subwoofers. This damaging circumstance
is known as clipping. Audiobahn has included a digital
clipping indicator on all Class D amplifiers to help
ensure that you get the maximum performance out of your
amplifier without sending any damaging signals to your
subwoofers.

STABILITY
Audiobahn is one of the few manufacturers to be reputed
for selling power-hungry High Current amplifiers. These
competition amplifiers utilize an advanced power supply
to help increase the stability of their traditional
AB MOSFET circuitry. This means High Current amplifiers
can operate at much lower impedances and output more
power than traditional AB MOSFET amplifiers. Audiobahn
High Current amplifiers are stable to impedances as
low as 1 ohm mono, which allows them to drive maximum
power to any component in your vehicle’s sound
system. Audiobahn also employs unregulated power supplies.
This means the higher the voltage of your electrical
system, the more power the amplifier will produce, making
them ideal for competition as you can run up to a 17.9
volt system for maximum power output.
ANALOG VU METERS
Giving this series an added element of control, all
Audiobahn High Current amplifiers feature analog VU
meters. This visual indicator lets you see the decibel
level output of your vehicle and how much power is going
to the speakers. Monitoring both left and right channels,
the VU meter is visible in the dark thanks to cobalt
blue LED illumination, a staple of nearly all Audiobahn
products.
4-WAY PROTECTION CIRCUITRY
All Audiobahn amplifiers feature 4-way protection circuitry.
This protection circuitry is designed to defend the
amplifiers from thermal overload, internally-contained
short circuits, voltage overload and DC offset. 4-Way
protection ensures that these amplifiers will continue
to operate despite the “real world” mishaps
that can occur in the mobile audio environment.

INTAKE
SERIES CLASS A/B
DIGITAL DC INPUT VOLTAGE
Audiobahn Intake Amplifiers feature an on-board cobalt
blue digital volt meter. This volt meter allows you
to get a quick assessment of your vehicle’s charging
voltage to the amplifier. During normal operation, the
display should read between 11.5V and 14.4V. A LO or
HI readout indicates a problem that
requires attention.
AIR INTAKE FAN
Audiobahn has designed the Intake Series of amplifiers
to be ultra-durable and allow for installation versatility.
Since heat weakens the inner workings of any electrical
component, particular thought was put into the placement
of the air-induction groove and air intake fan. These
design components help force cooler outside air into
the chassis of the amplifier and help to maintain the
amplifier’s optimum operating temperature.
NICKEL-PLATED BLOCK TERMINALS
To increase conductivity and maintain proper connection,
nickel-plated block terminals are used. Nickel is an
ideal electrical conductor. This flow of power is essential
in maintaining proper current flow through power connections.
This also ensures a more efficient power transfer from
output terminals to speakers and subwoofers. Block terminals
make a more solid and secure connection for all wires,
making for a superior flow of power. Additionally, each
terminal block is encased in clear acrylic to prevent
short circuits and accidental wire entanglement.
